Study of habitat and ecological flow of the Tulumayo river

First study of this nature developed in Peru. It includes two years of records in order to calibrate an analysis model that allows determining the ecological flow compatible with the habitat and recommended in the Tulumayo river basin for the section between the diversion to the Power House of the Chimay 140 MW Hydroelectric Power Plant and the discharge of the turbinated waters in an approximate length of 10 km.

Based on this study, the plant’s Environmental Management Plan has been established more precisely. This methodology is serving as a reference for regulatory bodies.
