Peru Builds l April 2016
This year, the long-awaited tunnels of San Rosa and San Martín were put into operation, linking the districts of Rímac and San Juan de Lurigancho, whose construction – after a landslide that occurred during the previous municipal administration – was paralyzed. After carrying out new studies of the land and the feasibility of the project, the work was resumed until its completion.
The infrastructure is located on the district boundary between Rímnac and San Juan de Lurigancho (SJL), covering the first of them from the intersection of the Prolongación Tacna and Alcázar, crossing land belonging to the former club of the Ministry of Economy and Finance and the Club Revolver del Rímac International: while in the SJL area it covers land from the Caja de Agua development up to the meeting of the tracks of both tunnels on Rímnac avenue in said commune.
